There are  eight categories for the pelt competition.  One pelt can be entered in each of the following categories:
1. Beaver    2. Otter   3. Raccoon   4. Mink    5. Fox    6. Bobcat    7. Coyote
8. The eighth category is a Group of Five: This maybe made up of any combination of the first seven species or any four plus muskrat to make a total of five pelts.
 
Rules for Pelt Competition:
  1. Anyone entering fur must be a paid up member of T.A.N.S. and present their membership card when registering their pelts.
  2. No fur will be accepted after the announced deadline for entry.
  3. Fur prepared at the two day workshop is not eligible for competition.
  4. All claws must be removed from pelts.
  5. All pelts entered must be completely dry including ears.
  6. There will be no handling of the fur after entry, due to possible damage to the pelts.

**Fur can be collected after the judging has taken place**
